LANCASTER MUNICIPAL STADIUM
Built and owned by the City of Lancaster, CA, Lancaster Municipal Stadium was the home of the MiLB Jethawks from 1996 to 2020. In August ’23, Lancaster City Council approved a plan to convert the stadium from its baseball configuration to a 5,300-seat soccer-specific stadium – only the fourth soccer-specific professional stadium in Southern California. The City Council also approved a long-term stadium operating agreement between the City and AV Alta FC.
Among other features, the plan calls for a purpose-built supporters’ section behind the north goal. With a capacity of 500 fans, this steep section will be standing-only, with handrails for safety and a canopy to project noise and to hoist “tifos” created by the Club’s independent supporters’ group – The 661.
Updates to the stadium will begin in Summer 2024 and be completed before the 2025 Inaugural Opening Night.
